Forty Fort Films was
started by Tom Alexander for the sole purpose of creating an environment
for artists to develop ideas to bring to television and the big screen.
With the experience and skill of a hand picked production staff, this
small company is dedicated to creating original animated films, and eventually
live action projects.
Based in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area,
Forty Fort Films can draw on South Florida’s large pool of talented
actors, writers, musicians, and other artists and technicians.
The first project completed by the FFF team is Alexander’s
own “The Smart Alecks,” a pilot for an adult-based cartoon
series.
Considered the film arm of Alexander Productions, Forty
Fort Films takes it’s name from the town of Forty Fort, Pennsylvania,
where Alexander grew up. It was in his family’s own movie theater,
named after the town as well, where his dreams and ideas were born. Incidentally,
the unusual name of Forty Fort is actually quite appropriate. It’s
a tribute to the first forty settlers and pioneers who built a fort there
during America’s Revolutionary days.
It’s with that pioneering spirit that Forty Fort
Films, along with Alexander Productions, prides itself in developing and
creating unique, entertaining films.
“It’s important to me to be surrounded by
people who love what they’re doing 100% of the time. I want to create
that environment,” says Alexander. “We roll up our sleeves
and pour ourselves into it, but we also have to laugh and have fun, because
the greatest, funniest, most creative ideas come from people who are having
a good time. Do what you love and love what you do. We must always maintain
that spirit.”
