Archeological Dig Reveals Old Piano Tracks Permalink | No Comments Yet
If you’ve ever found a ten dollar bill in a discarded pair of pants, you know the feeling. It’s a pleasant surprise.
After cleaning out a storage area of some old musical artifacts, I unearthed the master tapes of some long ago discarded music. The project was shelved due a budget cut by a small independent label I was associated with. Fortunately, I owned the masters and the contract elapsed. So now we’re exploring the possibility of releasing this music independently. The next step is reviewing the music – what’s been mixed and what hasn’t as well as fixing any technical glitches. I can tell you this – it was intended to be the follow up to the What’s Ahead? CD.
Flying Against the Time Zones wound up being the follow up CD, therefore we’ve discovered a couple of musical sketches and early versions of music that eventually wound up on FATZ. Those tracks may be included when this new “old” project is finished as bonus material. Still deliberating over that possibility.
We’ll keep you updated here as this project progresses.
