Tom Alexander

Tom Alexander is an award-winning writer, producer, musician and on-air performer.  Tom's work spans radio, television, film, print and new media. He is also a nationally recognized jazz recording artist with two CDs of original compositions to his credit. Tom has contributed theme music and accompaniment to countless radio broadcasts, as well as various TV programs. Mr. Alexander is a widely sought-after voice actor with an exhaustive repertoire of both character and celebrity voices.

Prior to founding Alexander Productions, Tom was Head Writer/Musical Director of the nationally syndicated radio show, The Drive which originated from CBS Sportsline. Career highlights include a one-year stint as the piano playing sidekick to a wisecracking talking bottle in a popular series of nationally broadcast commercials for Mike’s Hard Lemonade (he co-composed the songs in these memorable ads). In March of 2005 he released the global-jazz inspired Flying Against the Time Zones, on the Gatsby Music label. South Florida Sun-Sentinel music critic Nick Tate described the recording as “a globe-trotting musical travelogue” adding “From start to finish, Alexander builds his solos and melodies with the deft skill of a storyteller.” Tom’s solo piano CD, What’s Ahead? garnered similar accolades and was featured on a nation-wide Weekend Edition Sunday interview with Liane Hansen on NPR in June of 2001.

Tom's recent voice over work can be heard in the Cartoon Network show, Gordon, the Garden Gnome, where he plays several characters.

In addition to founding Alexander Productions, Tom is the Co-Founder of The Sportsman’s Daily, the Internet’s premier sports satire site. He also appears on radio stations nationwide in "Off-the-Wire," a popular game created and produced by Sportsman's Daily, and the nationally syndicated "From the Bleachers" radio essay, heard on Yahoo! Sports Radio.
